Marine and Ecosystem Programs

Somalia’s extensive coastline and marine ecosystems are vital to the country’s food security, economic resilience, and biodiversity. At CRAN (Climate Resilience and Adaptation Network), we protect marine environments, empower coastal communities, and build sustainable blue economies that withstand climate impacts.
Our marine and coastal initiatives focus on safeguarding marine biodiversity, combating oceanic pollution, and securing sustainable livelihoods for fishing communities across Somalia. By combining traditional ecological knowledge with scientific research, community training, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
